I manage the editorial calendar, core website pages and blogs, as well as coordinate with social media and other digital products across the World Bank Group. Prior to that, I managed the World Bank's Arabic web and social media channels from 2013 to 2017.
Before the World Bank, I worked as a Senior Assignment Editor at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) where I edited, managed and assigned news articles for diyaruna.com (formerly Mawtani.com).
Prior to that, I was the Arabic editor of the International Journalists' Network (IJNet), a multilingual media training resources portal published by the Washington D.C.-based International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). I also worked on building ICFJ's online journalism training courses and assisted in running journalism training programs worldwide.
In my home country Iraq, I was a special correspondent for The Washington Post, where I covered the war and the political process from September 2003 to July 2006.
I have a Master's of Arts in Writing Studies from Saint Joseph's University in the United States and a Bacheolar of Arts in English from Al-Turath University College in Iraq.
