Hahahahaha. I know! I've been posting about songs a lot! I love music! Didn't someone said "music feeds the soul"?!
As you said, the song is so heartbreaking! As I was watching, I felt my heart was aching. seriously! I mean this man is unbelievable! The episode with the woman crying and throwing the sand on her head was the most powerful one which I loved how it was followed by the man who raised the flag! Man!
Majida al-Roumi is another legend the Arabs have! She has an incredible voice. I love one of her new songs called "eleili"! It's amzing.

BT, i had no problem viewing the entire video on my third try! i read on another website that the song was originally from a poem written by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum from dubai. i also read an alternate translation of the title,tho similar.
i would very much like to know more of the words if you would be so kind as to translate a little more for us.
i also watched the video Ahbini Bila Uqadin. it is very moving how artistic expression can be a result of war.

Hi BT, I managed to download about a third of the music video in about 45 minutes (I have dial-up), then it quit. However, I watched what I got. The imagery is dark, which I can certainly understand, but I am afraid that I can't understand the context of most of what is there. I find the floating words interesting. What do they mean? Who is the beautiful woman in the red dress? At one point, there is a man dressed in a Roman toga. What is that all about? Why is the singer dressed in a western business suit instead of traditional Iraqi clothing?
